Transport and storage company Giesing has been a loyal user of KOOI® ReachForks for many years.
With a secure storage area of over 4000m², the company stores many pallets for customers and delivers the goods on demand if necessary. The pallets the company stores are mainly Euro pallets, placed in the warehouse with the short side first, thus 1200 mm deep. When the Euro pallets need to be loaded into the truck, they must be picked up from the long side.

The company European Distribution Centre Roosendaal (EDCR) is going to stock its products upwards.To stay flexible, the company chose for the reachtruck. With this truck the company can stock loads up to 12 meter high.

‘Since we relocated from Gorredijk to Drachten in 2003, we’ve acquired an enormous processing capacity – productivity has risen to over 100,000 units per day with a storage area covering over 2.5 hectares,’ explains site manger Freddie van Biessum, ‘We experience seasonal peaks – in the spring, we load approximately 80 trucks a day, but we can handle up to 110 per day. For the delivery of raw materials from abroad, we make use of the inland waterways and have our own loading quay for this purpose.’
