These resources allow the company to be extremely flexible and to serve customers quickly and efficiently. With dedicated drivers, Primasta feels like an extension of their customers’ own businesses.
On their spacious business premises in Asten, rows of palletized bags, sometimes produced under private labels, line up. “Even though the area is large, we often lack space on peak days,” says Maurice Swinkels, the third generation of the family business, proudly. “To save space, we load our trucks efficiently. Our vehicles are suited for bulk transport but also have accordion doors, allowing us to easily transport pallets.”
For years, Primasta has used telescopic ReachForks on their forklifts, a crucial element of their operations. Recently, the company acquired a new Mitsubishi forklift equipped with KOOI® ReachForks. “We chose Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks because of the short turning radius and competitive pricing,” says Maurice. “Since I’ve been here, we’ve used the same supplier, and by using reach forks, we improve our storage capacity and increase safety.”
The telescopic forks prevent the need for an extra aisle around the truck. No matter how narrow the aisle is on both sides, expensive storage space is lost when you want to load a truck from two sides. Now that we load from one side, all operations are more streamlined, significantly reducing the risk of accidents and damage.
If we didn’t use reach forks, we would risk unexpected movements of forklifts or trucks around the pallets. Remember, every extra square meter adds to the company’s profitability, and time is also a crucial factor. Loading from one side saves us quite a bit of time, allowing us to load more trucks.”
