Over a decade ago, Meijer Handling Solutions developed the RollerForks, an innovative fork system with two layers of rollers that move in opposite directions when the lower rollers contact the ground. This clever mechanism allows goods on slip sheets to be easily lifted from the floor without needing an expensive hydraulic push/pull attachment.
We promoted this unique invention widely online, which led to an unexpected request from a foreign humanitarian organization at the time: they wanted RollerForks with a lifting capacity of 8,000 kg (17,600 pounds), far exceeding our standard 3,000 kg capacity.
When we asked which forklift this would be mounted on, we discovered it was actually intended for a wheel loader! This surprising request turned out to be for handling 463L aluminum air freight pallets, marking the start of a new KOOI® product for us: the Rollerized Tine Extenders.
Now, many years later, we are a trusted supplier of Rollerized Tine Extenders used worldwide to efficiently load a variety of products into air cargo planes, including F1 equipment, a partnership we’re incredibly proud of!
