For those who follow our LinkedIn page closely, it will come as no surprise that the Meijer-Group has once again made a ???????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????? in purchasing a ???????????????????????????? ????????????????. A preview was already given nine months ago, when the relevant combination of press brake and a highly maneuverable robot, was demonstrated at EuroBLECH 2022.
During the past vacation period, the press brake robot was delivered to the Meijer-Group by the Dutch manufacturer of press brakes, SafanDarley. An automated bending cell contributes to more efficient, consistent and cost-effective production of bent parts, while improving the safety of the working environment.
Meijer Metal , the sister company of Meijer Handling Solutions B.V , will begin using the bending cell as soon as possible. The bending robot can again “cooperate” with the KUMATECH B.V. AGV, which transports raw material from the storage buffer to the robots. The complete robotic bending cell is expected to be fully operational by the end of September. Of course, the bending cell will not only produce the ???????????????????? ???????????????????????????? of the ????????????????® ????????????????????????????????????????, but also make all other repetitive sheet metal and bending work more efficient on the production line.
For Meijer’s employees, this will have no adverse effect, as there will still be plenty of bending work left, albeit with more challenge, which makes it all the more enjoyable.
