This year, 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 hydraulic 𝗞𝗢𝗢𝗜®𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 were deployed at a 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿 in Central Europe on several heavy-duty Linde forklifts.

It quickly became clear that this was a 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, as the ReachForks had to handle special loads while dealing with 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀.
Typically, forklift forks become thicker as their capacity increases. This also applies to hydraulic KOOI® forks, but in this case, the forks could not be made any thicker. As a solution, 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲.

The second challenge involved the mounting system, which was already a special design for fork positioners with all kinds of rollers but now required even more adjustments due to the width and the precise positioning of the hydraulic oil connections.

After 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and engineering discussions, the 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀 from 𝗠𝗲𝗶𝗷𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, the manufacturer of KOOI® ReachForks, together with Linde Material Handling Slovensko engineers 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 ČEMAT, successfully achieved an outstanding result.
