Pallet Stops

Pallet stops are used to prevent ReachForks from extending beyond the pallet. Because the retracted length of ReachForks is always longer than the stroke, a pallet stop ensures safe, controlled, and accurate load handling.

ReachForks can't be doubled in length as the outer sleeve would slide off the inner forks. Thus, their retracted length is always longer than the stroke. If it exceeds the pallet size, a pallet stop is used to prevent the forks from extending past the pallet's back. A low ± 75 mm Y1 palletstop, is most commonly used for ReachForks mounted on truck-mounted forklifts.

A Y2 pallet stop, 400 mm high, is often used for one-sided truck loading and unloading, as well as for double-deep applications, as it allows for the mounting of a load backrest on top of the pallet stop.

A Y3 pallet stop, 850, 1000, 1200, and 1600 mm high, is often used for one-sided truck loading and unloading, as well as for double-deep applications when a load backrest cannot be used while the ReachForks should be postponed to the inside or outside like on fork positioners.

Y4

Sometimes, it is necessary to place a “bumper” on the front of the fork shank if the retracted length is to be the same as the pallet length. Often used with extension forks that can lift two pallets in a row, for example the application cross-docking.

In more complex handling situations, a customer may need to store pallets in double-deep in a warehouse. In such cases, pallet stops are necessary to ensure that the pallet is placed correctly in the racking. If the same customer uses the ReachForks to handle two pallets in tandem, the retractable pallet stop is withdrawn to create a longer fork.

A pallet stop may be required for demonstration purposes. In such cases, it can be temporarily installed.

It's not always possible to route the oil supply to the reach forks through the top, so the connection fittings may need to be placed in another location, such as the back of the forks.

Often, the oil connections for the oil supply can run through the top of the KOOI® ReachForks, but not always, due to obstacles like side-shift or shaft mounting.

When telescopic forks are used in environments where they frequently slide over rough floors, an additional wear plate can be installed under the outer sleeves. To further prevent wear on the underside of the outer sleeves, we recommend that the forklift dealer shortens the chain supporting the fork carriage slightly.

Protective Coating

Applying a durable protective coating to the ReachForks helps prevent damage to both the forks and delicate loads. The coating reduces wear on the forks and cargo, provides cushioning, and minimizes slippage during handling.

If more than one set of ReachForks is used on a fork carriage and/or a Multi-Pallet Handler, a Gear Flowdivider is necessary to synchronize the outer sleeves of the reach forks.
