Manual extendable forks stay on the forklift truck permanently, saving time, space and money compared to traditional fork extensions (outersleeves). This mechanical option is lower in cost than the hydraulic fork which makes it ideal for low usage application.
It all started with a request from a packaging material producer who did not want to invest in heavy and expensive push-pull attachments for transporting goods on slip-sheets. Meijer Handling Solutions designed a forklift fork, KOOI® RollerForks, with two layers of rollers rotating in opposite directions when they touch the floor, causing the load to remain stationary as the forks are withdrawn from under the load. A very simple but efficiënt slip-sheet handling system.
Years ago, following our forklift forks with rollers, known as RollerForks, the first request came from a military organization for handling air cargo goods with so-called ULDs (Unit Load Devices) or aluminum air freight pallets. Meijer developed a suitable solution for this, and now these are sold to many other military entities, aid organizations, and even in autos sports, with Formula 1 being one of our many clients.
Extremely suitable for unloading 40ft sea containers. The RollerForks are pushed directly under the slip-sheet by the forward motion of the forklift. The load is lifted and can be directly unloaded onto a pallet by retracting the RollerForks. A very fast and inexpensive slip-sheet attachment.
Robust construction with high-quality, low-noise rollers makes this a highly effective forklift attachment for handling primarily aluminum ULD air freight pallets. Features like shock-absorbing bumpers and FOD locking make it also one of the safest units available.
