EFFORTLESS TRUCK LOADING AND UNLOADING WITH THE VERSATILE COMBINATION OF TRUCK-MOUNTED FORKLIFTS AND KOOI® REACHFORKS.

KOOI® ReachForks, Built for the Toughest Conditions Faced by Truck-Mounted Forklifts.

A truck-mounted forklift, also known as a “piggyback” forklift, is a compact and versatile forklift that attaches to the rear of a truck or trailer. It allows for efficient loading and unloading of goods without the need for a separate forklift at the destination. Designed to handle rough terrains and extreme conditions, it provides flexibility and autonomy in logistics and transportation operations.

Hydraulic ReachForks are used on truck-mounted forklifts to extend and retract, allowing for flexible and efficient handling of various load sizes and types. They enable precise positioning of goods in tight spaces and improve loading and unloading speed. Made from robust materials, these KOOI® Forks withstand harsh conditions, ensuring durability and reliable performance, which is essential for truck-mounted forklifts operating in diverse environments.

  • ReachForks for an easy and lightweight one-side offload option.,Less maintenance than a scissor/pantograph solutions.,Provides flexibility when handling different pallet sizes.

What are all the advantages of One-sided loading and unloading trucks?

Increased Safety

Telescopic forks are extendable forklift forks and are mounted on the carriage just like standard forklift forks. The outer sleeve of the ReachForks extends and retracts without obstructing the forklift driver’s view. Unlike other reach systems that involve vertical movement of components within the mast, which can hinder visibility, these forks maintain a clear line of sight.

Costs saving

A set of ReachForks is cheaper to purchase and maintain than a pantograph. This is easily explained by the fact that reach forks consist of fewer components and are lighter in weight compared to a complete pantograph.

Productivity and flow

The ReachForks are slightly thicker than most standard forklift forks due to the extra thickness of the telescoping sleeve. This increased thickness can sometimes be disadvantageous if the spacers between materials, especially in the construction sector, are very thin. However, for standard pallet operations, ReachForks are extremely suitable.

Fork Mounted Pallet Stops

Pallet stops are advised in this case to match the length of the pallet with the length of the outer sleeve. In this case, the forks always have the correct pallet support.

Frequently asked questions about Hydraulic Extendable KOOI® ReachForks

What are hydraulic extendable KOOI® ReachForks?

KOOI® Reachforks are hydraulic forklift attachments that extend and retract to adjust fork length. This flexibility allows efficient handling of various load sizes and apllets. They can extend to place pallets further away, making them ideal for one-sided loading of trucks and double-deep pallet storage applications.

How do KOOI® ReachForks enhance forklift operation?

They enhance versatility and efficiency by allowing operators to adjust the fork length on the spot. This reduces the need to reposition the forklift and minimizes the operator’s need for constant focus, as the forks adjust to the pallet length automatically.

What type of loads can KOOI® ReachForks handle?

They can handle a wide range of loads, including long, bulky, or awkwardly shaped items that standard forks struggle with. KOOI® forks have a standard capacity ranging from 1,700 to 10,500 kg at 600 mm load center. The standard maximum retracted length and stroke length vary by model and can be obtained from the manufacturer or dealer.

Are KOOI® ReachForks safe to use?

Yes, they are designed with safety in mind, providing stable load handling and reducing the risk of operator injury through precise hydraulic control.

How are KOOI® ReachForks installed on a forklift?

They are typically mounted on the existing forks or carriage of the forklift, often requiring professional installation to ensure proper hydraulic connections.

Can KOOI® ReachForks be used in outdoor environments?

Yes, they are built to withstand various environmental conditions, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

What maintenance do KOOI® ReachForks require?

Regular maintenance includes checking hydraulic fluid levels, inspecting for leaks, and ensuring all moving parts are lubricated and functioning correctly.

How do KOOI® ReachForks improve productivity?

By allowing quick adjustment of fork length, they reduce downtime and increase the speed of loading and unloading processes, boosting overall productivity.

Are KOOI® ReachForks compatible with all forklifts?

They are compatible with many forklift models, but it is essential to check specific compatibility requirements with your forklift type and model.

What standards do KOOI® ReachForks comply with?

Collaborating with Suppliers for Forklift Efficiency

When a pallet is pushed forward, the distance between the pallet and the forklift increases. This typically requires using a heavier forklift for one-sided loading and unloading. The reason is that the pallet’s center of gravity shifts, and the forklift needs to maintain balance with the extended pallet to prevent tipping. Additionally, the hydraulically operated extendable forks need a 4th function, which many forklift brands offer as a standard or optional feature. Therefore, it’s crucial to consult with your forklift supplier, who will likely be familiar with our KOOI® ReachForks since they are also supplied directly to most forklift manufacturers.
