KOOI-Reachforks, Case study

Ford, Mercedes, Volvo, BMW, Citroen, Peugeot, VW, CAMI, Gestamp, Visteon, Trelleborg, Delphi, etc. all have one thing in common – they all use telescopic forks.

The reason being that they use a huge range of crates and racks for component storage purposes in varying widths and lengths. Using KOOI-REACHFORKS®, crates and racks are easy to handle because hydraulic extension forks can be extended to fit any conceivable pallet size. If forks are too short, then crates are unstable and are prone to tipping. If forks are too long, then goods stacked behind the pallet being handled could be hit and damaged.Manually extendable forks are often not an option because their length can only be adjusted to pre-determined lengths and drivers have to get out of the truck too often to change them. Cycle times are commonly used in the automotive industry where punctual component delivery is critical, as even the slightest delay would cause even larger delays further down the line.
