Working safely under ATEX with extendable forklift forks

ATEX stands for “𝗔𝗧𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲̀𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗫𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀” and refers to two European directives (94/9/EC and 2014/34/EU) that apply to equipment and protective systems in 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀. These directives establish safety standards and requirements to minimize the risks of explosions in such environments.

When it comes to forklifts, 𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗫 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀. ATEX-compliant forklifts are designed and built to meet specific safety requirements to minimize the risk of igniting an explosion in an environment containing flammable gases, vapors, mists or dust.
