Maximizing Storage Capacity: How Widek B.V. deploys the Aisle Master and KOOI® ReachForks

For the storage and handling of pallets at Widek B.V. ‘s warehouse, the so-called 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲-𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 system was chosen, using an 𝗔𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗢𝗢𝗜® 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀. Thanks to the narrow-aisle forklift and the hydraulic telescopic forks, the storage capacity can be utilized to the maximum. In fact, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮. This is made possible because each storage location can accommodate two pallets, one behind the other, saving an aisle.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀:
– A capacity of 2,000 kg.
– A four-piece mast (with a lifting range of 5600 mm)
– KOOI® ReachForks for double-deep pallet placement
– Non-marking tires
– A weighing system from Griptech
– Bluespot
– A Stoneridge | ORLACO camera mounted on the forks.

Widek is one of the few companies in the bicycle industry that still manufactures more than 90% of its products itself in the Netherlands. Started in 1936 as a metalware factory, the company has grown over the years into an international company manufacturing metal and plastic products for the bicycle industry. Widek is thus a prominent supplier of bicycle bells, handles, straps, child seats, plastic bicycle parts and bicycle accessories for children’s bicycles.
