Last year Meijer employees, partners and friends braved the mythical mountain MONT VENTOUX, whether on foot, running or cycling. This event is organized annually by the Groot Verzet Tegen Kanker foundation (Ventoux against Cancer) to raise as much money as possible in the fight against cancer. The Meijer Group was the main sponsor last year. The connection in life with and fighting cancer is the most important value of this Foundation. It was an emotional, impressive but also enjoyable event in which a huge connection was felt.

We are proud of the achievements of colleagues, other participants and volunteers, because by taking responsibility together, we are able to conquer Mont Ventoux and make a substantial contribution to the fight against cancer. Now that all the sponsorship money has been counted, we can announce that the members of the Meijer Group together collected Euro 53000,= of the total Euro 736.175,00. We would like to thank the KWF (Dutch Cancer Society)  and in particular the Ventoux against Cancer foundation for the excellent organization. We are delighted and proud that we have been able to associate our name with this event.
