KOOI® Systems – Horizontal Pallet Transfer
Many applications, such as Food and Pharmaceuticals, simply cannot allow the use of wooden pallets due to hygiene restrictions and/or contamination risks. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practice, (GMP), guidelines and U.S. Federal Food and Drug Administration, (FDA), regulations are all set in place to help ensure public health safety. What can they do to comply? Unlike a pallet inverter, the stationary pushpull-systems like the SPC & SPI does not invert the goods meens no contamination.
The KOOI® Systems (pallet transfer stations) can be used to transfer unit loads from wooden pallets to plastic pallets or vice versa. It can be placed in a convenient location to provide maximum efficiency for inbound/outbound pallet exchange or horizontal slip sheet transfer.

KOOI® Systems applications?
A KOOI® Stationary Pallet Inverter is used to transfer goods from one load carrier to another, reducing the risk of contamination or validation problems with products that cannot be reversed. A pallet inverter is not always able to rotate your goods, such as octabins containing liquids, reading labels or due to the limited pallet changing speed.
A KOOI® Stationary Pull Installation is used to transfer goods from one load carrier to another within a cleanroom area where no wood is allowed because of hygiene regulations.
The KOOI® Pallet Dispenser is used when pallets need to be added or removed. With the help of Meijer Handling Solutions, Kumatech has developed a fully universal basic unit that can be expanded from 15 pallets to as many as 45 pallets. After an extensive testing period, this unit is proudly listed as a complementary product.
